Morning, afternoon, and weekend tracks all lead to the same 500-hour license. Compare them on the schedules page and pick the pace that fits your job and family.
"How long until I'm working?"
Roughly 4 months full-time, or about 6–7 months on weekends, then the New York State exam. Details are in the 500-hour program overview.
"Is it too late for me?"
People change into barbering at every age. Beginners with zero experience start every month — classes begin the first Monday of every month.

The Manhattan campus sits a few short blocks from nearly every subway line in the city — easy to reach whether you're coming from the boroughs, New Jersey, or upstate.
By subway
The B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, W, S, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 trains all run within a few short blocks (Bryant Park, Times Square, and Herald Square stations).
By bus & rail
The M5, M7, M20, M42 and M104 stop within a block or two. The Port Authority Bus Terminal and Metro-North at Grand Central are minutes away.

Can I visit the campus before I enroll?
Yes — walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM at both the Manhattan (48 West 39th Street) and Bronx (121 Westchester Square) campuses. Come see the training floor and meet instructors before you decide.
Do you have Spanish-speaking admissions staff?
Sí. Call (212) 290-0278 for Spanish-language admissions, and both campuses offer bilingual instruction and support throughout the 500-hour program.
When can I start after I reach out?
